Glomag - Naught [slapmp3_013]

by Glomag

Published December 21, 2002

Glomag (formerly on Sire, Mode) takes us on a drowsy tour in a goofy 8-bit wonderland. Created mostly with GameBoy Nanoloop software, naught evokes vintage arcade soundtracks and high-profile fashion queens. Check out "Bleat" for its Journey-esqye synth arpeggios, vocal meanderings, and SHEEP! You can download all five tracks, including one live remix recorded at Tonic NYC.

Run time 20:39

Notes

1. 1 KHz Chant

Subject: Tight and Crunchy
Sparse, cold, mellow. The sort of videogame music where you get to kick robot poodles into the paths of oncoming steamrollers.

If I ever drive a mechanical penguin to work, this is the music that will be coming out of its armpits.

Subject: Badass bleep stuff.
Bleepiness is always fun, and Glomag has some serious electro fun with Nanoloop, a GameBoy, and some robots here. Dig it.
